Rooting your Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere phone the Simple & Easy way.
First all needed files have been saved into 1 folder for download by members and secand rooting your phone will void your warranty so do this at your own risk. I am not liable or responsible for any damage done to your phone, and this includes bricking.
Download Files from here
http://www.mediafire.com/?s0fh1quj9s654Step One: Download your Root z-Image, Heimdall, and one-touch. Extract everything to the same place or folder for easier access later on.
Step Two: restart your phone in download mode. With this phone restart and hold the volume down button and it will restart saying “download mode” and then plug your phone into your computer.
Step Three: let window install and load the drivers for your phone and then find Zadig.exe and open it, open tab and click list all devices. (Warning multiple devices may be detected) we want the one that says “Gadget serial control” then click installs drivers. (you may need to restart both your pc and phone)
Step Four: now comes the fun part you should get device detected. While your phone is still in download mode bring up your command prompt and type heimdall detect if it is detected than type heimdall flash –kernel root-zimage. Your phone should show a progress bar and once it’s at 100% it will restart showing a yellow triangle with a ! in it. This is stating that it has a custom kernel installed.
Step Five: go into your phones options and make sure USB debugging and unkown sources are both selected. Now your phone is just about rooted completely next comes the hardest part of rooting your phone.
Step Six: open up SuperOneClick and click the Root button. It should say your phone has been successfully rooted. You should have super user installed automatically now download a root-check program to insure your phone has been rooted. From here I would recommend downloading titian-back up for backing up your apps and deleting the preinstalled junk you don’t want.
